Methodology
The Facility Risk Baseline Intelligence™ assessment generates an operational baseline for a facility's shipping and receiving operations through structured documentation of observable practice.
Scope
The assessment evaluates four operational dimensions:
Identity and access control
How the facility verifies who is at the dock, how driver and carrier identity is documented at arrival, and how unfamiliar or off-schedule visitors are handled.
Process discipline at handoff points
How paperwork moves between shipper, carrier, and facility. Where verification steps are formally required versus assumed. How exceptions are escalated.
Exception handling and documentation
What happens when paperwork doesn't match, when a driver shows up early, when a load is contested. The signals here predict whether a facility absorbs disruption or amplifies it.
Operational continuity under unusual pressure
How the facility responds when normal patterns break — staffing shortfalls, weather, system outages, urgent freight, social engineering attempts. Continuity practice indicates whether security holds when conditions don't.
Format
- 70 questions, structured for completeness across the four dimensions above.
- Self-administered through a secure web portal by facility leadership.
- 15 to 30 minutes to complete in one sitting; sessions can be resumed.
- Confidential — data is encrypted in transit and at rest, never disclosed to third parties without explicit authorization.
What You Receive
- A baseline operational score for the assessed facility.
- Section-level findings with documented signals.
- Prioritized recommendations, ordered by operational impact.
- A verified facility profile usable across customer programs.
Principles
We show facts. Customers decide. The system documents what is observed and what is reported, with sources attached. Conclusions about specific incidents, third parties, or liability are not drawn by the platform — those interpretations belong to the organization that carries the consequences.
The same standard applied by mature data infrastructure platforms: present patterns and signals, attribute them, and leave decisions to the operator with authority.
What We Don't Publish
Specific question content, scoring weights, and threshold mappings are confidential to D74 Technologies and the customers who rely on assessment outputs. Public methodology disclosure at that level would allow gaming and reduce the value of assessments used for compliance and risk decisions.
What is published — the dimensions covered, the format, what you receive, and the principles applied — is what a customer needs to evaluate fit before purchase.
